Rob Gorski, MD

Based in New York. Educated in Bklyn.

Rob Gorski, MD is board certified Emergency Physician actively practicing in New York City. Originally from Michigan he received an MD degree as a member of the Medical Scholars program of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed his clinical experience in Marquette, Michigan, directly under talented mid career physicians and surgeons. Such circumstances provided solid hands-on experience grounded in clinical expertise. From this foundation he left the rural environement to pursue residency in Brooklyn, New York.

In Brooklyn, graduate medical education gave Rob the opportunity to learn from one of the most diverse patient populations in the world while simultaneously being surrounded by the creative talent of the larger New York City community. Spawned from this intersection he has developed innovative medical perspective atypical of physicians as they are traditionally viewed. Part and parcel to this Dr. Gorski sees the current American healthcare crisis as an outstanding opportunity to create new practices that are connected, data driven, designed beautifully, yet firmly rooted in the classic tradition of medicine passed down from generations of clinical experience.

Dr. Gorski is currently appointed to both academic and community-based clinical positions giving him ongoing experience with a broad range of practice circumstances and financial realities associated with modern medical environments and resulting implications for patient care. This experience serves as a solid foundation from which critical discourse of healthcare economics, politics and reform on a systemic level can begin. Outside of Medicine Dr. Gorski is involved with the finance, art, and tech communities of New York City.

The present American medical uncertainty creates space for innovative, equitable and financially responsible healthcare designed to honor the humanity intrinsically tied to the medical heritage. Dr. Gorski aims to push modern understanding of patterns of human experience to a platform more accessible to everyone by creating the fundamental systemic changes that are needed, but as yet discussed only superficially in national political and social dialogues.
